Juventus failed to clear properly, and Renato Veiga pounced on the loose ball, smashing a volley into the roof of the net to level the score at 2–2. The stadium erupted as Villarreal snatched a dramatic equaliser, their persistence finally rewarded. Juventus players were visibly frustrated, knowing they had been minutes away from leaving Spain with all three points.

At full time, both teams were left reflecting on a game of missed opportunities and crucial moments. Villarreal’s fightback underlined their never-say-die spirit, with Mikautadze and Veiga the standout performers. Juventus, on the other hand, showed flashes of quality through Conceição and Vlahović but were undone by lapses in concentration at set pieces.
